: Each Krain chair is crafted from native hardwoods and features a simple, curved back support rail with a boxed slip seat for comfort. The curved back support rail is the result of a good bit of ergonomic research carried out by furniture designers over many years to ensure the correct posture and ideal comfort for those seated at a dining table. The chair has been used since antiquity, although for many centuries it was a symbolic article of state and dignity rather than an article for ordinary use. It was not until the 16th century that chairs became common.
